Signs of Spring - Woodland Plants and New Born Birds

We live in a quiet neighborhood on a small slice of heaven. A portion of our property is wooded and filled with beautiful gifts from nature. Here are few of those gifts that we happily invite into our outdoor living area.

Black Capped Chickadee
The Chickadees love our Dogwood tree all season long.

Something so pretty, but such a bully to the other birds!
Blue Jay

Cardinal Nest
What a pleasant surprise in our front bed shrub!

Downy Woodpecker

Jack-in-The-Pulpit

Maidenhair Fern

Mayapple Blooms

Red-headed Woodpecker

Robin Nest
A yearly Spring surprise in our front bed!

Solomon's Seal

Wild Fern

Wild Geranium

Newborn Baby Cardinal perched our Beauty Bush

A brave newborn baby Cardinal on his first flight out of the nest in image above. Perched on our Beauty Bush right outside our front door.  Isn't his mohawk hairstyle so cute? He had no fear - he watched us ohh and ahh him and take photos up close and didn't fly away.

American Robin

Northern Cardinal

Young Deer
