RSVP Collection No. 39 - New Kitchen Colors

I'm not ready to say goodbye to the stainless steel appliances for the kitchen yet. But all good things must come to an end sometime. Do you know the stainless steel appliance has had a 25-year run? Appliance makers are not saying it is over and passe. But they are introducing or working on what the next trend will be.

The Ice Collection is the new introduction from Whirlpool, which includes a glossy white.  And Miele is soon to introduce a high gloss collection. General Electric introduced a muted gray called slate.

Ice Collection includes a high gloss white or black option with brushed steel handles

Interestingly, the Viking Range Corporation introduced their stainless steel range in the 80's. According to Brent Bailey, design director at Viking Range, 80% of their sales are still stainless steel.  That's big in the fact that they offer 23 color choices to stainless steel. Goes to show a classic is a classic!

I personally still love the stainless steel chic-ness. Regardless, this is what I still have on my dream kitchen checklist!

Well Dressed Home No. 23 - Louis Bergere Chair

Louie sportin' the Neo Geo trend!

Nothing like a good "Louie"! This style was designed for guests to lounge in because of it's loose seat cushion and deep seat. I have one in my bedroom and I can attest to the fact that it is very comfortable.

The Bergere chair became popular in 17th Century France amongst nobility, the strong rococo styles are referred to as Louis XIV bergeres. Sometimes these chairs were gilded and upholstered in silks.

This Anthropologie crewel version of the Louie is fun!

You know me and breaking the rules. Besides comfort, I love this chair frame because of it's versatility. There are so many fabrics that go well on this style, be it traditional silks and tapestries; to fun transitional and modern designs. And don't forget the frame finish - the fun doesn't stop with the fabric!

Loving this Thomas Paul fabric on Louie!

Awning stripe? You bet!

Louie, home on the range.

Suzani with a painted white frame - fun!

What a gentleman Louie is in his menswear pinstripe.

Like the perfect shade of lipstick!

And who says Louie can't pull off a feed sack and some burlap?

And mix it up with a Ralph Lauren ticking and vintage feed sack?

Be Inspired No. 40 - Duct Tape

Seriously, I knew duct tape has come along way but am I one of the last to be aware that it comes in Spotted Leopard, Zig Zag Zebra, and a houndstooth print?

Be inspired by these clever duct tape images that can't help but make you smile!

How cool! A leopard clipboard!

Oh my - leopard duct tape on makeup brush handles!

This would make a great gift package embellishment.

Loving the zebra gift tag!

Receptacle cover!

And even a book with 99 duct tape projects.
